Daily Life
Life at Woodland Place Community is about choices, lots of choices. . . . Youll find that the decision to make Woodland Place home isnt the end of making choices; its the beginning. From the front door to the bedroom suites, we specially designed the community with seniors in mindspacious and light, yet warm and friendly. Theres a nature lovers patio nestled under the trees for sitting and listening to the birds, feeling the sun on your face or just taking a walk after breakfast.
Residents have the choice of a companion or private suite. Each suite has a private bath and closet space. We encourage residents to bring their furniture, pictures and favorite keepsakes to make the suite their home. All bedroom suites are conveniently located just a short walk from the solariums, nurses station, and elevator.
When are meals more than food? When theyre shared with friends, of course! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Orchard Room where we accommodate most special diets.

Residents choose from a varied menu, served at their table. Theres always room for one more, and we encourage friends and families to join the residents around the table just like they did at home. The difference. . . we do the cooking! Nutritional snacks are conveniently located on each floor and available around the clock.
Sometimes, you just have to get out of the house, and our scheduled transportation makes it easy. In addition to providing transportation to local physicians, the Woodland Place bus can be found at nearby attractions, special events, parks, and restaurants. Or, you might just see us out for a joy ride and ice cream. Lets not forget shopping the special sales at familiar stores with door-to-door delivery of residentsand all of those bargains!
Our community boasts three large solariums, one on each of the upper floors. We designed each solarium to accommodate the interests and lifestyles of the residents. Youll find the library and computer center on the second floor. There are cozy nooks for reading and tables for cards and games. Residents have access to a computer center complete with Internet access. Classes are available for those residents who want to learn to use the computer. Surfs up. . . . come join us here!

On the third floor, we provide the popcorn for the movies and travelogues shown on the large screen TV with a VCR/DVD player. Comfortable seating abounds in this solarium, where friends gather to watch their favorite television shows.
Youll find the Wellness Center and Woodland Place University on the fourth floor. Passive exercise equipment and interactive classes are held here. Our in-house physical therapist evaluates all residents and encourages them to join their friends in making strength building and exercise fun. The learning never stops at Woodland Place. We offer classes of interest, special entertainment and presentations from guest speakers to residents and the community at large in this beautiful room with high ceilings and a penthouse view.
Once busy hands will stay that way in the Woodland Place Arts and Crafts Room. Our residents will continue to enjoy needlework, painting, quilting, woodworking, gardening, cooking and much, much more while sharing a cup of coffee with friends. Residents can choose to practice life-long skills or meet the challenge of learning a new one.
Our well-trained and caring staff meets the needs of our residents around the clock. Our Resident Care Director will conduct a functional assessment prior to admission to determine if any of the individual services required go beyond watchful oversight. We make sure every resident gets the care they deserve!
Not ready for the full-time experience? Woodland Place also provides respite care for short-term assisted living needs. Contact us to learn more!
